Singer songwriter and guitarist Kim Churchill hits the road this coming May / June for a National 16 date Australian tour. The run of dates will take in all capital cities and regional areas including Newcastle, Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Wagga Wagga and more.
Currently on a lengthy Canadian tour, the Australian dates see Kim returning home in support of his latest single ‘Window to The Sky’ which is garnering airplay across the country, and the soon to be released album, Silence / Win.
While Kim’s previous songwriting produced a more dense sound, ‘Window to The Sky’ heralds a slight shift in direction, capturing a new sense of freedom that delivers one of his most accessible songs to date.
At just 23, Kim Churchill has already achieved some incredible things in his short time as a professional musician. A nomadic and hypnotizing guitarist Kim is recognised as much internationally as he is in Australia, having performed headline shows, festivals and supports alike all over the planet. His dynamic live performances focus on his deft guitar work while simultaneously playing bass drum, percussion, tambourine, harmonica and vocals.
His highly anticipated forthcoming fourth studio album, Silence / Win, showcases Kim’s melodic, contemporary, blues and folk sides. Recorded in Vancouver, the 13-track album produced by legendary heavyweight Warne Livesey (Midnight Oil, Matthew Good) is due for release in Australia this coming May 2014, and will be available through all good outlets.
