Having just wrapped up a Europe tour with UK electro-punks Sleaford Mods, RVG released ‘Alexandra’ earlier this year, the first single since their inimitable debut album A Quality of Mercy. Since releasing their first album to critical acclaim and audience adoration, RVG have made huge strides at home and internationally: the band played an iconic set at Meredith Music Festival, travelled Europe and the UK with Shame (UK), toured the US with Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, played shows in Australia with Kurt Vile (US), showcased at South By Southwest and played headline shows in New York and LA, performed at Denmark’s renowned Roskilde festival, and played a BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session, hosted by Huw Stephens. ‘Alexandra’ was only the first taste of new music from RVG: produced by Victor van Vugt (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Beth Orton, The Triffids), and recorded in Melbourne, ‘Alexandra’ signals the next stage in RVG’s thrilling trajectory.
Special guests for this tour will be announced in the coming weeks, but get your tickets early to make sure not to miss out on the beginning of the next era of RVG!
