Melbourne based Alt /Prog Metal band Modality have just released their new EP Fatal Empire, which was premiered via AAA Backstage. The band have also announced a run of tour dates to celebrate the release.

The EP is a collection of hard-hitting and confronting tracks that display the bands ability to highlight important social issues through infectious music. Modality debuted in 2018 with the release of their first EP called SYNTHES1S, recorded and produced by Clint Vincent of Dead Letter Circus. The music video for their first single ‘END 0F THE L1NE’ was filmed and produced by Dave Hunter (CIRCLES), which organically secured over 12k views within 24 hours.
Modality played their debut show to a full room in January 2019 at PROGFEST, supporting world-renowned progressive heavyweights such as MONUMENTS, The Ocean and Skyharbor. Following this, the band supported CIRCLES on their ‘Winter’ tour in August 2019, and after a pandemic-induced hiatus they supported Mass Sky Raid on their ‘Calm In Chaos’ tour in June of 2022. The band have since released multiple singles and have played a plethora of shows, securing airplay on Triple J in the process.
