Perth-based indie-rock outfit DICE share their latest single, ‘Super-Vision’, a sonic exploration of materialistic obsession inspired by an experience the band shared while on a recent tour.
Utilising the concept of romance as an analogy, the lyrics delve into the emotional attachment that people form with material items, highlighting the psychological process that accompanies the procurement of a new inanimate object.
DICE says of the track: “’Super-Vision’ was inspired by our experience buying and then losing several pairs of sunglasses while on tour. The lyrics explore the way that something material can come to define us and the anxiety that can arise when we lose that material possession.”
Recorded in the format of a live jam in Tone City Recording’s brand-new studio in WA, the track embodies the energetic and expressive characteristics that have come to define DICE’s live shows, with driving guitars and drums providing a dynamic sonic foundation for Hodge’s signature shimmering vocals.
DICE says of the recording process, “While the chords had come together in a previous jam, Ben sat in the control room with producer Sam Ford while Tom, Regan and Lenny worked out the instrumentation. Originally the track was just one guitar; however, we added the second guitar part to give it more of a signature DICE feel, which really ties the whole song together.”
‘Super-Vision’ follows on from the band’s much-lauded sophomore EP Time Will Tell, which received critical acclaim, with singles ‘Stockholm’ and ‘Pieces’ receiving full rotation on national radio.
2023 has undeniably been the biggest year yet for the formidable four-piece, marked with career milestones and multiple accolades, including sold-out tours, widespread radio support across national and community radio and major playlist placement, solidifying DICE’s status as one of Australia’s most coveted indie-rock acts.
Beginning this month, the band will take the stage in all major Australian cities on their fourth national tour, bringing with them their revered indie-rock repertoire, including crowd favourites ‘Stockholm’ and ‘Eyes Ahead’ and classics ‘Stop Sign’ and ‘Reality’.

Back due to popular demand, today, Perth-based indie-rock outfit DICE announce their second national tour for 2023. This Spring, the band will take the stage in all major Australian cities, with regional stops along the way, bringing with them their revered alt-rock repertoire, including crowd favourites ‘Stolkholm’ and ‘Eyes Ahead’ and classics ‘Stop Sign’ and ‘Reality’.
The announcement follows the conclusion of the band’s sold-out May-June tour in support of their hugely successful sophomore EP, Time Will Tell, which sold out three months before the band left their home state.

DICE says of the tour, “We’re super stoked to be heading back to the East Coast for the second time this year! The venues are bigger, and the energy we are going to bring is going to match that. The crowd’s singalongs and enthusiasm to every song last tour has had us itching to get back on the road from the moment we landed back in Perth.”
To accompany the news, DICE has unveiled their much-anticipated music video for ‘Stockholm’, the focus track from their recently released sophomore EP. A Gen-Z exploration of the concept of Stockholm syndrome, the music video directed by Michael Tartaglia juxtaposes the experience of being trapped in the thralls of the symbolic condition with the state of individuality and autonomy that arises from breaking free from social conformity.
Since exploding onto the scene in 2021, DICE have captivated audiences far and wide with their warm-toned vocals, shimmering songwriting, and vivacious instrumentation, which perfectly encapsulates the carefree joy of a summer’s day.
