A fun, fresh and playful album, Bombay Bicycle Club’s latest offering is heartfelt and bursting with a bubbly, frenzied sound. Not really rooted in any one genre of music, Bombay Bicycle Club continue to offer their own type of fusion music with So Long, See You Tomorrow.
Taking you to every corner of everwhere, I was really drawn to the uplifting and bouncing vibe of ‘Luna’. A track perfectly suited to sipping pink lemonade on a blown-up couch as you float from one side of the backyard pool to the other. The lyrics are just as searching as the musical composition; jumping from the catchy guitar and drum base to the shaky symbols that add to the dreamy headspace it creates.
Track 8, ‘Feel’, really takes us to another continent, partly Bollywood beat, other part South American fiesta. With its crackling, spellbinding male and female vocals, the whole album feels a little pieced together. Taking highs and lows throughout, it kind of feels a little like a house party that kicked of a little sombre, peaked and then ended with a solemn goodbye.
Best suited to someone who likes a little of every type of music ever, it kind of sits somewhere between indie rock, electronica and pop, but can really just please anyone who is just looking to wear a smile.
