Cambridge Hotel, Newcastle

March 2020 was my last visit to the Cambridge. On that night, Newcastle packed the hotel for Melbourne Ska Orchestra, partying like there was need to let loose. A few weeks later and the whole country is shut down.
So what has changed in 12 months when it comes to seeing live music. Not much if tonight is anything to go by.
The punters were in early, grabbing the choice seating, positioning themselves three-deep in front prior to Melbourne DJ Benson taking to the stage. This is exactly what the crowd wanted. The floor filled, and there was a party goin’ on.
