Lizottes, Newcastle – July 24, 2013 :
A group of talented Australian singer songwriters band together to bring a night of Alt Country music to the legendary Lizottes Theatre in New Lambton, Newcastle. Brooke Harvey, Michael Muchow ( Kasey Chambers, The McClymonts ), Ashleigh Dallas ( Kasey Chambers ), Jess Belle and Trent Crawford will all perform their original songs accompanied by acoustic guitar, mandolin, upright bass and fiddle. There may even be a banjo present! A night of honest, heartfelt alt country music played and enjoyed by a bunch of friends.
Brooke Harvey is a singer/guitarist who plays blues/ragtime and country music. She was featured on the ‘Smokestack’ compilation produced by Hugh Gordon. She has a beauty and rasp in her voice that can take your mind into Lucinda territory. Great songs, with great delivery.
Michael Muchow originally from Brisbane has been Kasey Chambers guitar / mandolin / anything with strings man for some time now. He is also called upon by The McClymonts among others for his prowess on the fret board. But it doesn`t stop there, Michael is a talented singer – songwriter who steps into Darryl Scott moments here and there. He will be performing songs off his upcoming album.
Ashleigh Dallas brings her fiddle skills and pigtails! Ash is also a member of Kasey Chambers touring band, where she plays fiddle and harmony vocals. Ash has been working on her debut album with Nash Chambers and will be performing songs from it.
Jess Belle has just completed work on her brand new album, recorded by Mr Bill Chambers himself. Jess and Trent Crawford will pair up on the night with Ben Conciella and play each other’s songs with a couple classic songs in there for good measure.
