In 2009, when it couldn’t get any bigger or louder, Augie March pared back and skirted the east coast with their ‘On The Quiet’ tour. A loose and informal approach to their acclaimed repertoire, this largely acoustic show was a huge hit with Augie fans, purist and tourist alike.

Fast forward to 2019, Augie March are thrilled to be bringing ‘On The Quiet’ back to life and into some of their favourite venues IN AND AROUND Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, AND Brisbane. Adam Donovan, Dave Williams, Edmondo Ammendola, Glenn Richards, and Kiernan Box will take the opportunity to revisit tunes across their revered 23 year career. Rarities and crowd pleasers will be given equal billing, songs reimagined and distilled, the lyrics and voice of Glenn Richards will shine through.

Tickets on sale now via augiemarch.com/tourThe On The Quiet format allows us to interpret the songs in their most direct and potent form…minimal instrumentation and 4 voices… It’s like the audience is sitting in on a stripped back rehearsal in our studio space… intimate and homespun… performing this show to audiences around Australia back in 2009 was a fun and inspiring experience for Us… it promises to be an equally exciting prospect in 2019.” – Dave Williams from Augie March

Joining Augie March on all shows is Melbourne’s chamber-pop auteur Grand Salvo. Paddy Mann has been refining his detailed and unique take on orchestral folk music for over a decade and is finally receiving the recognition he so richly deserves. 2018 saw the release of his magnum opus, Sea Glass – a brooding and cinematic meditation on how a single memory has the power to shape and reshape our lives- which was duly hailed by fans and critics alike as a masterpiece and went on to receive a nomination in the 2018 Australian Music Prize.

Don’t miss this intimate and special tour it could be another 10 years (or longer) before it rears its precious head again.
