[News] AUGIE MARCH ‘BOOTIKINS’ NATIONAL TOUR ANNOUNCED FOR MAY

Caroline Australia has today released Augie March’s long-awaited new album, BOOTIKINS. The band’s sixth studio album was recorded in Melbourne and Hobart and produced by their dear friend, the legendary Tony Cohen, before his passing.

Glenn Richards says, “Tony Cohen wanted to make good on a promise to himself that he’d one day do something with our band. This was news, amazing news, to us, and it still amazes me that we got a chance to work with the man. The moments are ours and we will cherish them, it only suffices to say he got us feeling like; and playing like a real band again after a long interim, and we made some very good music together. I know he felt very much like himself in there and had a blast”.

Following Tony’s passing, a final track was recorded with his good mate John Olson at the helm, with the band, Robin Mai and Paul McKercher mixing the record between them.

To showcase BOOTIKINS live, Augie March has today announced a national tour for May.

Glenn Richards says of their May tour, “Augie March set out on the road through May in support of our new album, hitting most capitals and some cities for our first run in donkey’s yonks. Expect all the new but a good dose of the old from our sprawling back catalogue.”

BOOTIKINS the album is available NOW via Caroline Australia.
