[News] BECK ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE MELBOURNE AND CANBERRA HEADLINE SHOWS

Following confirmation of his long-awaited return to Australia with an appearance at Sydney City Limits – not to mention his brand new Grammy nomination for Best Music Video for ‘Up All Night’ – BECK is pleased to announce two new headlining shows in Canberra, at the Royal Theatre on Monday 26th February and Melbourne, at the Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday 28th February. Renowned for his innovative and ever-evolving live performance, the multiple Grammy Award-winner’s career has seen him utilise all manners and eras of music, blurring boundaries and blazing a path into the future.

Pegged as a reluctant generational spokesperson when ‘Loser’ was released in 1994, Beck has continued to confound expectations over a career spanning three decades. For his first Australian tour in five years, Beck will arrive armed with Colors, his first full length offering since 2014’s Morning Phase took Album of the Year at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, as well as Best Rock Album and Best Engineered Album. Featuring the recent singles ‘Dear Life’, ‘Wow’ and ‘Up All Night’, Colors unfolds in an intoxicating rainbow of auditory tricks and treats.

In addition to appearances on the Ellen Degeneres Show and Later…With Jools Holland, Beck recently captivated sold-out North American audiences with “epic” (YAHOO) performances. The prolific musician also accepted U2’s invitation to appear as special guest on the September leg of The Joshua Tree Tour 2017, generating yet more of the most enthusiastic reviews of his live career.

In 2014 Meg Mac was named triple J’s “Unearthed Artist of the Year”. ‘Roll up Your Sleeves’ has received over 10 million plays on Spotify, was play-listed on radio stations across America and featured in the US TV series Girls, Grace and Frankie and Astronaut Wives Club. In 2015, she was nominated for two ARIA Awards and the following year she was named one of triple j’s Top 5 ‘Unearthed’ discoveries of the last decade.

Meg Mac’s debut album Low Blows is a powerful set of dynamic, deep soul, exhortations; produced by Niles City Sound (Leon Bridges Coming Home) in Fort Worth, Texas the album debuted at # 2 on the ARIA Album Chart and was nominated for a j Award.

Meg Mac sold out her 25 date ‘Low Blows’ tour including three sold out shows at the Melbourne Forum and two sold out shows at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, in addition to sold out performances in America and the UK.
