As Big Scary lay to rest their third LP Animal, they have announced their biggest headline shows to date as a way to send it off in style. Having launching the current, glorious live show at Laneway Festival in 2016, plus a national run of dates and festival appearances throughout the year. Big Scary will now unleash the 5-piece line-up across some of the best theatres Australia has.
Debuting at #5 on the ARIA charts, alongside nominations in the Australian Music Prize, triple j Album Of The Year and with lead single ‘The Opposite of Us’ entering the triple j Hottest 100 of this year at #17, Animal was released to not only critical and popular acclaim but cemented Big Scary as the unassuming independent heroes of the Australian music scene.
The run of dates beginning mid-June includes the Forum Theatre in Melbourne, the Metro Theatre in Sydney, The Tivoli in Brisbane, The Gov in Adelaide and Metropolis in Fremantle. Big Scary are also thrilled to be joined by Cub Sport, who have developed a huge groundswell of support since the release of their debut album This Is Our Vice and breakout single ‘Come on Mess Me Up’. Capping off the “best lineup of 2017” is soul, funk, party starting DJ CC:Disco. The result will be an all-out musical experience not to be missed.
