Not being ones to leave it too long between drinks, Sydney garage-punk kids Bloods are back with a brand new single ‘Into My Arms’, another choice cut off the band’s upcoming debut EP Golden Fang, out 9th August.
A return to the bratty punk pop that won the band a spot in the hearts of lovers of hyperactive-garage-punk the world over, ‘Into My Arms’ is a classic Bloods tune, one minute and 49 seconds of dance-around-in-your-underpants and sing-into-your-hairbrush fun.
With opening lyrics “You always leave but you want me to stay / so I stay put while you run far away” – ‘Into My Arms’ is a song about all those abandonment issues that arise as a result of being in a long distance relationship. A song I’m sure most will be able to relate to at some stage in their life.
‘Into My Arms’ follows on from the band’s highly acclaimed single ‘Back To You’ which was #1 on the AirIt for two weeks in a row, remaining in the top 20 for 6 weeks and pulled in at #40 on Channel V’s top 50 songs of 2013 So Far.
Both ‘Into My Arms’ and ‘Back To You’ can be found on the band’s forthcoming six-track debut EP Golden Fang, out on Friday 9th of August via digital retailers and limited edition 12”.
Seattle based punk label Whooping Crane Records will also be releasing a special US issue four-track 7” EP We Are Bloods on the 20th of August, which features ‘Into My Arms’ and four other previously unreleased tracks. Pre orders are now available from the Whooping Crane web store.
To celebrate all these goings on, Bloods will be hitting the road on their first ever east-coast headline tour. The Golden Fang EP tour will take in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, with very special guests Major Leagues (Sydney/Melbourne) and The Fabergettes (Sydney/Newcastle) in tow.
