Blue King Brown; renegades of global urban roots music, rize again with a first pumpin’ reggae jam, ‘Rize Up’.
‘Rize Up’ has been inspired by the amount of human energy being generated in the name of Truth and Justice around the globe right now. With a new album on the horizon and an International summer tour in July/Aug 2013, including two huge live sets at Festival Mundial (The Netherlands) and Glastonbury on the weekend, the ever evolving passionate front-woman Natalie Pa’apa’a makes her stand to deliver on this uplifting track.
‘Rize Up’ pays sonic homage to Blue King Brown’s roots as well pushing forward into a newly found musical space, recently described as “…solidarity made into sound, and sound to transform action, the soundtrack to the dawn of a global generation.”
Backing vocals come courtesy of West Papuan freedom fighters Lea and Petra Rumwaropen and Indigenous powerhouse Emma Donovan. Blue King Brown are offering fans their new single as a free download for a limited time. DOWNLOAD
