One of the most celebrated young bands to emerge out of New Zealand’s thriving contemporary musical landscape, brother and sister duo BROODS are coming to Australia this November.
Off the back of countless sold out national and international tour dates and a stellar set at this year’s Splendour in the Grass, the über-talented siblings Caleb and Georgia Nott will bring their ARIA top 5 debut album ‘Evergreen’ to Australia for a set of national headline shows.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at midday on Thursday, September 11.
My Live Nation members can be amongst the first to secure tickets during the pre-sale beginning at 11am on Friday, September 5. For complete tour and ticketing details, visit: www.livenation.com.au
Since the release of their breakthrough single ‘Bridges’ last year – which received more than 700,000 YouTube views, 4.2 million Spotify streams and 1.1 million SoundCloud plays – the hotly-tipped Broods have been experiencing whirlwind success.
They teamed up with producer Joel Little (Lorde’s GRAMMY winning ‘Pure Heroine’ producer) to release their stunning self-titled debut EP in January 2014. Debut album ‘Evergreen’, also produced by Little, was released last month and has entered the ARIA charts at number 5.
Touring relentlessly, the pair have been enjoying enviable international success. After playing just four shows together in Australia to support their EP, they headed to the UK for a headline tour. They were then invited to join HAIM on their UK tour before setting off on their own North American tour including sold out headline dates and shows with CHVRCHES.
Returning to Australia last May to tour with Ellie Goulding, Broods also played sold-out headline side-shows before dominating their set at Splendour in the Grass in July, where they once again sold out all national headline side-shows. Later this month, Broods head back overseas as special guests on Sam Smith’s US Tour.
Joining Broods on their national headline tour will be special guests Mansionair, the indie-electric, early-twenty-something trio from Sydney. Their clever instrumentation of acoustic melody against atmospheric electronica, saw their first single ‘Hold Me Down’ amass more than 5.5 million YouTube views and 1 million SoundCloud plays since it surfaced in February of this year.
Don’t miss two of music’s most significant, new talents together in one bill.
