[News] CALIGULA’S HORSE : ‘LOVE CONQUERS ALL’ EAST COAST TOUR

Australia’s foremost authority on progressive rock, Caligula’s Horse, have announced three very special shows ahead of their return to Europe. The band will be playing their latest album, 2017’s Top 50 Aria Charting In Contact IN FULL! In addition to experiencing this fantastic album from start to finish, Caligula’s Horse will also be playing a selection of fan requests!

Joining the band as special guest are two acts, that are no strangers to Caligula’s Horse fans.

James Norbert Ivanyi: One of the most original, commanding and versatile young guitarists on the scene today. James’ unique style of technical modern metal fused with the classic sounds of 1960’s and 1970’s progressive rock music have seen his fan base transcend generations and genres. His recent appearance at this year’s Progfest won him unanimous praise and he has become one of the most in demand online guitar teachers in the country!

Featuring former Caligula’s Horse guitarist, Zac Greensill, Opus Of A Machine are pushing the creative boundaries of alternative, progressive rock by combining the experimental nature of the genre’s foundation with an electro, pop edge. Technical wizardry meets emotional introspection. Pumping synths and skycraping melodies pinned down by a rock solid groove, this band was made to be seen live!

Caligula’s Horse have played but a handful of shows in Australia over the last 12 months. Their In Contact tour last September received rave reviews for its elegance, intensity and sheer emotional power. Once again, Europe beckons and the band will be returning to appear on several summer festivals.

Playing smaller, more intimate venues, these shows will sell out fast! Get in quick and secure your tickets now or you’ll be sure to miss one of the most potent progressive music shows of the year!

Hailing from Brisbane, Caligula’s Horse is a progressive alternative rock powerhouse. Their unique tapestry of progressive metal laced with raw rock power is at once fluid, monumental, and striking, offering a wide audience a broad palate of unforgettable moments and timeless music.

Their fourth record, In Contact, is an immense conceptual work discussing the nature of art and creativity, a celebration of what connects us as human beings – the shared space across our many differences. Told over four separate chapters, it is an album full of deeply personal stories, characters with their own bittersweet hope and tragedy. This album is yet another leap forward for Caligula’s Horse – steeped in their now-signature ambitious and colourful sound but with a new-found ferocity, In Contact will leave audiences breathless.

In Contact stretched all of the band’s abilities, from the frantic speed and complexity of ‘Will’s Song (Let the Colours Run)’ to the immense scope and variety of the 16-minute album closer, ‘Graves’. This is Caligula’s Horse at their most ambitious and progressive.
