Electronic-folk six-piece Crystal Fighters today confirm headline Australian tour dates, adding to their already announced Splendour In The Grass appearance. The UK outfit will play at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Wednesday 20th July and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Sunday 24th July. Tickets for both shows are on sale now.

Crystal Fighters took Australia by storm in 2014, playing to capacity crowds at Falls and Southbound Festivals along with dual headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, off the back of their sophomore album, Cave Rave.

Front-man Sebastian Pringle says, “From the mist of the studio we are so happy to announce this trip to Australia. We’ve had some amazing times playing there and we can’t wait to be back on the East Coast!

In 2013, creating their own unique event to launch Cave Rave, Crystal Fighters performed on a natural stone stage at the striking caves of Zugarramurdi just outside San Sebastian in Spain, playing to hundreds of fans at their own Cave Rave. Star Of Love, the 2010 debut from Crystal Fighters, was a triple j staple featuring upbeat folktronica anthem ‘Follow’ and feel-good tune ‘At Home’.

Crystal Fighters return to our shores this July, as part of a mammoth global tour that pre-empts the anticipated release of their third studio album. Performing some of their first international shows since 2014, Crystal Fighters hit the stage last week at Coachella’s opening weekend to rave reviews, with an epic follow up festival set to come this weekend.

Live, Crystal Fighters are a mesmerising six-piece, an on-stage explosion of energy and good vibes.

The London/Brooklyn based band have been in the studio working on their upcoming third album across Spain’s Basque Country, Los Angeles and London over the Northern Hemisphere winter, due for release later this year.
