Fresh off the back of a mammoth European tour, and following the news of their fourth full-length LP Positive Rising: Part 1, Australia’s favourite thrash-party hoons DZ Deathrays today reveal details for their album tour – the Positive Rising: Part 1 Tour (Australia/2019). Throughout October and November the Positive Rising: Part 1 Tour (Australia/2019) will hit Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, with an all ages or under 18 offering in each city.
Joining DZ Deathrays (now a three-piece with the official introduction of long time live guitarist Lachlan Ewbank) will be Sydney two-piece loud rock outfit Polish Club *; all girl, no bullsh!t punk quartet VOIID; and (self-described) sweet and savoury femme four-piece The Buoys. The four outfits rounding out an incredible serving of a line up, positive to make you rise. (*Polish Club will not be playing The Zoo show in Brisbane on Saturday 9 November).
Alongside news of the tour, I OH YOU are thrilled to release the second bite from the Positive Rising: Part 1 cherry; this time seeing DZ enlist the help of their mate, The Bronx frontman Matt Caughthran, on ‘Year Of The Dog (feat. Matt Caughthran)’. Revealed just last Friday via the band’s socials, ‘Year Of The Dog (feat. Matt Caughthran)’ is a pedal to the floor thrash-party banger.
