The tour marks the first national shows since the release of their playful new single, ‘First Night Fever’, celebrated by triple j, Rolling Stone, Wall of Sound, and more. The track sets the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable run of live shows, pairing DZ Deathrays’ thunderous sound with a fresh burst of energy and nostalgia.

Joining DZ Deathrays are some of the country’s most exciting punk and rock acts. Perth’s Last Quokka, known for their politically charged lyrics and gritty, high-energy performances, have been steadily gaining a following both locally and internationally. Signed to French punk label Mass Prod, Last Quokka’s latest single ‘Cost of Living’ offers a taste of their upcoming LP and continues to build on the momentum from their Australian Music Prize-nominated album, Red Dirt. Alongside them are Pretty Uglys, whose feel-good garage rock has seen them support major acts like Skegss and Pacific Avenue. Fans can expect to hear new tracks from their anticipated debut album, led by the infectious single ‘Supernova’.

DZ Deathrays will also be joined by Melbourne’s rowdy garage rockers Drunk Mums, who are back from a four-year hiatus with their new single ‘Livin’ at Night’. The track previews their forthcoming album, Beer Baby, set for release on March 7, 2025, and captures the band’s irreverent style that celebrates living in the moment. Also supporting are, Mannequin Death Squad—a fierce Melbourne duo known for their DIY ethic and raw energy—will deliver their grungy, pop-punk fusion that has made them a must-see act following their recent SXSW Sydney appearances and self-funded DIY or DIE tour across Europe.

Since their inception, DZ Deathrays have secured a place as one of the most recognisable names in modern Australian rock, initially propelled by the roaring success of their debut album Bloodstreams, which became synonymous with their thunderous sound. They evolved with a more refined edge on their sophomore release, Black Rat, expanding beyond their garage rock origins into an award-winning powerhouse, touring globally and supporting major acts like The Foo Fighters, Ratatat, Biffy Clyro, and Grinspoon. Alongside these monumental tours, DZ Deathrays have headlined iconic venues like The Tivoli, The Enmore, and The Forum.

Beloved by a dedicated fanbase for their deft blend of technical skill and mischievous energy, DZ Deathrays have amassed an impressive list of festival performances, playing at Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, and St. Jerome’s Laneway, along with international stages like SXSW, Reading, and Leeds Festival. Their music has consistently resonated with fans, earning multiple entries in triple j’s Hottest 100. With recent LPs like R.I.F.F. and Bloody Lovely, as well as the critically celebrated twin concept albums Positive Rising: Part 1 and Part 2, DZ Deathrays, composed of Shane Parsons, Simon Ridley, and Lachlan Ewbank, remain a vital force in the music scene.
