Singer Craig Mabbitt mentions, “I hope that people think of Escape The Fate as a good time, but a good time in a better way. We want people to connect deeply with the music and disappear in it. Get lost and then return from the album, or show, feeling inspired about themselves. We want to make people feel better about life, to know they can take on all its hardships. That’s what the music does for us as a band. That’s what we want it to do for the audience too.”
Having amassed over two million monthly listeners across streaming services, Escape The Fate have developed a visceral connection with their audience. Over a decade into their career, the band’s live show has transcended around the world, having toured with Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Papa Roach, I Prevail, Bullet For My Valentine, Hollywood Undead, HELLYEAH, All That Remains and Five Finger Death Punch. The band has also appeared at renowned international festivals Vans Warped Tour, Rock on the Range, Graspop Metal Meeting and Rock am Ring.
Escape The Fate conquered the burgeoning metal-core scene on the strength of their breakout album, This War is Ours (2008), which led to a major label deal and the rock crossover success of their self-titled album Escape The Fate (2011), produced by Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Korn, Avril Lavigne). The album hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums, the first of three records to debut at No. 1 or 2 on that chart.
The band gained further momentum from Billboard Top 5 Independent Album Hate Me (2015), and I Am Human (2018), a collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Skillet, Seether), which produced the Top 20 Billboard Mainstream Rock single ‘Broken Heart’. Their latest offering, Chemical Warfare (2021), delivers an arsenal of driving bangers and melodic ballads, among the best of the hard rock world.
Joining Escape The Fate on their 2023 Australian tour is Pontiac-based post-hardcore act D.R.U.G.S. Led by Craig Owens, their latest full-length record Destroy Rebuild – their first release since 2011’s acclaimed self-titled album – offers listeners a uniquely nostalgic sound while also exploring new territories and progressions, orchestrated to catch and keep your attention. “This album is my first step forward without thinking of running back,” Owens stated. “I hope it can leave a mark and grow with people.”
Alongside them are Australia’s beloved hardcore group The Beautiful Monument, who signed to Greyscale Records in 2019, performed at Download Festival (AUS) and received triple j rotation for their single ‘Deceiver’.
