Perth’s electric, theatric and hugely anthemic punk rockers, FAIM, have plotted to continue their dream run in 2014, unveiling a new single and announcing their next national tour.
These butt-kicking Perth boys and girl, nabbed a coveted WAM Award nomination for ‘Punk Act Of The Year’ in 2013, and capped off their excellent year by scoring juicy support slots with Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, Die! Die! Die!, And The David Leibe Hart Band. FAIM’s unique and enticing mish-mash of punk rock is punchy, dynamic and jam packed with positive energy. They invoke the classic fast, riffy punk sound, while infusing it with a crisp drum sounds and spot-on, theatric vocal melodies. Suffice to say, all of this is a winning combination.
Having released their masterfully constructed debut album, Pretty Well Over The Bay, just a few months back, FAIM have cooked up a tasty new tune for your ears. New single ‘Means To Their Ends’ is two and a half minutes of mayhem. It showcases a more aggressive element of the band’s sound, while retaining their trademark breakneck speed, self-deprecating poetic lyricism and quirky melodies.
In this single’s name, FAIM are packing the van to hit the road again, taking in a bunch of east coast shows. They band will return West to wrap their run with a Flyrite headliner and a massive show alongside The Hard Ons, Meat Puppets and Brant Bjork at The Astor Theatre. All shows will showcase FAIM’s unique and chaotic live show, and will win them a bunch of new friends across many genres.
