As summer comes to an end, Melbourne four-piece Fear Like Us have made one last-ditch attempt to keep the good vibes going as their Late Summer Visits Tour stops in Newcastle on Saturday February 20.
The Folk-Punk group are no strangers to Newcastle, with frontman Jamie Hay being born and raised here; making his name fronting bands such as Conation and Pitfall, as well a successful solo career. Likewise, drummer Lauren Hammel (High Tension, Like…Alaska) also hails from the Steel City.
Fear Like Us just released ‘The Lowest Form Of Love’, the first single from their upcoming album; the first full-length from the band in nine years. The song takes aim at the Reclaim Australia rallies, and proceeds from the single are being donated to the Close The Gap Campaign.
The band will be stopping at Drone Newcastle for an All Ages show on February 20. Bringing with them Sydney’s own HANNAHBAND – who have recently finished a string of supports including The Hotelier, The Smith Street Band and The Hard Aches. Joining them will be local acts Run Squirrel and Jen Buxton, and Amateur Drunks.
