Handsome Tours is excited to announce Fleet Foxes will be returning to Australia in December/January in support of the release of their acclaimed, third studio album, Crack-Up. The band will perform at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on Wednesday January 3, in addition to appearing at Falls Festival in Lorne, Marion Bay, Byron Bay and Fremantle.
The tour follows Fleet Foxes’ opening of Vivid Live 2017 at the Sydney Opera House. The Australian described the show as a “spellbinding” display of the band’s “originality and vocal and instrumental dexterity.”
Written by Robin Pecknold and co-produced by Pecknold and bandmate Skyler Skjelset, Crack-Up is the band’s first album in six years and follows the success of their two previous records. Released in June 2017, Crack-Up was led by single ‘Third of May/Ōdaigahara’ and has gone on to receive critical acclaim, with critics labelling it a welcome return.
The band’s previous albums have achieved critical and commercial acclaim, leading them to earn the UK’s UNCUT Music Award Prize and a Grammy nomination. Charting in numerous countries, including reaching the Top 10 in Australia, the UK and the US, Fleet Foxes have continued the success with an extensive international tour.
