“‘Try Again’ was written about friendship,” says Georgia. “I was despising someone for dragging me through emotional turmoil and being in this constant wheel where I would have to adhere to another’s habits and self-destruction. However, it’s also about my own inability to talk about it, and instead, I just shove everything under the rug, because I hate conflict, so I guess it’s about hating that part of me as well.”
With a blend of charging guitars, exciting melodies and a relentless rhythm section, Georgia June’s output is driven by stories of both vulnerability and strength. Fiercely DIY, Georgia June has built up their community of fans through constant touring, including festival appearances at Falls Festival, Secret Garden and Bad Friday.
With previous singles including ‘Prove Myself’ gathering accolades from media and fans alike, Georgia June draw from a diverse range of influences. From Taylor Swift to 70s Japanese punk, Georgia June has established a sound that encapsulates their shared experiences and will undoubtedly steal your heart.
