Neon Hitch), there is no doubt that Gym Class Heroes are a band that have created lasting musical memories for their fans across the globe. From small beginnings in the late ’90s, Gym Class Heroes became key figures in the indie rock industry and tastemakers in the rap-rock genre.
With frontman Travie McCoy visiting Australia and New Zealand last year, performing at the 2023 edition of Fridayz Live, belting out hits from his solo career (‘Billionaire feat. Bruno Mars’, ‘Golden feat. Sia’ and ‘We’ll Be Alright’), fans went wild for his tributes to Gym Class Heroes, proving the band have remained close to their hearts.
Spending recent years focusing on solo projects, 2023 marked a reunion for Gym Class Heroes. The band performed at When We Were Young Festival alongside Green Day, Blink-182 and Thirty Seconds to Mars, as well as supporting All Time Low on their The Sound Of Letting Go on Tour, to a huge reception from fans past and present. Recently releasing the Club Mix of their 2005 track ‘Cupid’s Chokehold’ featuring the memorable vocals of Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, proving the timeless effect of their music, Gym Class Heroes are well and truly back on the scene.
