The best dressed man in music, Henry Wagons, is readying himself to hit the road this May to celebrate his debut solo album, After What I Did Last Night…, with a full national tour. He is suitably excited to announce the support acts who’ll be joining him on the road, assembling a diverse roster of artists to open up each night.
Fans are in for a real treat as Henry has assembled a spanking new band and will be joined by acclaimed producer, Tennessee based Skylar Wilson, who will lend his supreme piano playing skills to sit in with Henry’s solo band ‘The Only Children’ and also act as musical director for the shows. The band will also include a swathe of local heroes featuring multiple ARIA award-winner Matt Walker on guitar as well as members from Architecture In Helsinki and Dorsal Fins.
After What I Did Last Night… was recorded in a haze of smoke and bluster at The Casino studio in Nashville, with a band of supreme players in full flight. The musicians on the album were gently corralled and wrangled straight from the dimly lit stages accompanying the likes of Justin Townes Earle, Jason Isbell, Caitlin Rose and Old Crow Medicine Show. Twelve tracks make up a collection of songs that essentially chart Henry’s life from his rowdy misspent youth to being a tour-hardened troubadour and new father.
Henry is committed to a live experience that showcases his new album to best effect, and harnesses the full force of his years of North American touring experience on his home turf. Get ready for Henry Wagons & The Only Children (ft. Skylar Wilson) to make the bar-room walls cave in around you like never before.
