Johnson (real name, Frank Lopes Jr) will be touring on the back of his new album, The Fall of Hobo Johnson. The album includes singles ‘Ugly Kid’ featuring Elohim, “Typical Story” a party for all the misfits who never get invited and current single ‘Subaru Crosstrek XV’.
The album follows 2017’s The Rise of Hobo Johnson – which Frank wrote during a time he had to live out of his ’94 Toyota Corolla – hence his self-given pseudonym. On April 17, 2018, Hobo Johnson released the highly anticipated single ‘Peach Scone’. Hobo Johnson’s ‘Peach Scone’ live performance video gained feverish interest through his entry on NPR’s “Tiny Desk” Contest, which went viral (26 million streams to date).
Bursting with unadulterated sincerity with an amalgamation of spoken word poetry, punk, folk and rap Hobo Johnson continues to captivate with over 90 million global artist streams (over 4 million being Australian). Hobo Johnson & The Lovemakers will make a number of summer festival appearances including Wildlands, Beyond The Valley, Lost Paradise and Origin Fields.
