Singer/songwriter, and Central Coast local Holly Buchanan has released ‘I’ve Found You’, the latest single from her debut EP of the same name. The Central Coast favourite will also celebrate the launch of her debut EP on May 16 at Quattro Café, Erina.
Released at the end of March, the 21-year-old singer/songwriter describes the EP as a lighthearted collection of love songs – “light hearted, catchy, yet still meaningful.” A distinct Australian tinge to her acoustic/pop story telling style, and her mellow, Missy Higgins like tone complement the laid back nature of each of her tracks.
Lilting, husky vocals, simple guitar lines, and laid back drums featured in title track ‘I’ve Found You’ setting the tone for the Holly Buchanan’s debut EP. “This song is about making sure you hold onto someone when you know it’s right. It is all about taking control of the situation, and not letting the opportunity pass you by.”
The refreshingly organic and unassuming, self-directed video for ‘I’ve Found You’ was shot by a friend around Holly’s hometown. “I didn’t want the video to be overly produced, I just wanted people to see what I do in my spare time. The video is shot near one of my local waterfronts where I often escape to write.”
