HOT CHIP are joining the November frivolities with shows in Brisbane and Sydney. The electronic luminaries will hit Australian shores hot off the release of their highly anticipated new album Freakout/Release which drops in August and features singles ‘Down’ and ‘Eleanor’.
HOT CHIP’s sound has bridged gaps between the worlds of pop and dance music as their 18 year catalog features songs that move bodies and touch hearts with equal impact. Their multi-decade career has seen them continue to innovate and develop a rich, resonant songcraft. Their 2006 album The Warning was nominated for a Mercury prize, while their 2008 hit single ‘Ready for the Floor’ was nominated for a Grammy.
