Say hello to a brand-new, killer music and action sports festival. INVERTED FESTIVAL is a newly announced all-ages event, and it’s set to bring the biggest names in Australian punk rock and action-sports together.
“We’re pumped to get back on stage and perform in front of a crowd once again. Inverted Festival seems like it will be the first of its kind in Australia, and we’re stoked to be on the line-up next to our best homegrown Aussie talent”, says Skegss frontman Ben Reed.
To celebrate Skate, FMX and BMX, Inverted Festival will also feature over 20 of Australia’s most exciting action sports athletes. Josh Sheehan, Jackson Strong, Harry Bink and Hayley Wilson, amongst others, will compete in Street Skate, BMX Park, BMX Big Air and Freestyle Motocross events, performing some pretty gnarly tricks in the process.
“We haven’t been able to compete in over a year due to COVID restrictions and we’re stinging to get back out there and rip in for fans. The competition at Inverted Festival is going to be fierce, with the world’s best action sports athletes going head-to-head and I can’t wait to get out to be a part of it,” says six-time X Games Best Trick Gold Medallist Jackson Strong.
Most excitingly, the COVID safe event will be able to accommodate more than 20,000 punters! While operating at a reduced capacity, this will make Inverted Festival the largest stadium music event on the Gold Coast since the shutdown of the live entertainment industry—big ups to the legends at Second Sunday, TEG Van Egmond and Major Events Gold Coast!
