Canadian troubadour Irish Mythen has made a huge impression on Australian audiences over the past 12 months – she’s brought the house down at festivals such as Mullumbimbi, Small Halls, Illawarra, Woodford, Bluesfest in Byron Bay (where organisers were so struck by her that they named one of the resident koala after her). She’s opened for Melissa Etheridge at sold out shows around the country and is steadily getting noticed for her huge voice, comic timing, emotive songwriting, and a virtuosic storytelling style that has seen grown men cry into their beers two songs in.
So it’s with great pleasure that Irish jumps on the plane once more this September and heads to Australia for an East-coast tour to visit old friends and make many more along the way.
