Portland, Oregon’s Jenny Don’t & The Spurs are coming back for two more shows!
Currently playing shows in Indonesia, Malaysia & the Philippines on the back of a month’s worth of Aus & NZ shows, Oregon’s Wildest Country & Westerners JENNY DON’T & THE SPURS will detour back to Australia on their way home and are set to play Woy Woy’s Link & Pin on Saturday November 25 and Sydney’s Petersham Bowls Club on Sunday November 26!
Very Special Guests for the Link & Pin show are Sydney’s original cowpunks THE JOHNNYS who will be playing all the hits and near-misses from their long’n’dusty career The Johnnys, together with Jenny and the boys, will provide all the fixins for a cracker arvo of rootin’ tootin’ rock’n’roll on the Central Coast
A Country & Wild Western band with roots in Portland’s fertile punk and garage scenes (including close ties to DEAD MOON and THE WIPERS, JENNY DON’T & THE SPURS have been knocking audiences dead at shows up and down the East Coast since late September, including at Out On The Weekend in Melbourne and Dashville Skyline in the Hunter Valley.

To coincide with their tour, Jenny Don’t & The Spurs released a new 7″ single on Castlemaine label ‘We Empty Rooms’. The single was recorded in Castlemaine too – on the only day off during their tour here last year – with engineer Alex Bennett at his all-analog hit Sound Recordings studio. Jenny and the boys cranked out a banging original and a respectful cover of the Dead Moon classic ‘Fire In The Western World’, and the 100% analogue workflow of the studio suited them perfectly.
The single is packaged in hand screen printed covers and released in time for their triumphant return to Oz/NZ in 2023! The band will have “Tour Only” Editions for sale at shows (on coloured wax) and a different version is available via mail order and Magnetic South Distribution.

Hailing from the wilds of Oregon, JENNY DON’T & THE SPURS have been playing their raucous Country & Western honky tonk sounds for over ten years and spent a few weeks here last year, winning over audiences show by show. With roots in Portland’s fertile punk and garage scenes – bass player Kelly Halliburton was in the Pierced Arrows with Dead Moon’s Fred & Toody Cole and the Spurs late and lamented original drummer Sam Henry was in the legendary Wipers – Jenny Don’t & the Spurs are more fun than you can have even with your chaps left on and they tear the house down every time they play.
With the band set to land in the country next week, they’ve announced the forthcoming release of a new 7″ single for the tour.
