Chicago’s pop punk upstarts Knuckle Puck return to Australian shores this January and they’re bringing along UK’s ROAM for the ride.
Fresh off the announce of their sophomore album Shapeshifter, due October 13th through Rise Records, Knuckle Puck have offered fans a taste of the album in the form of lead single ‘Gone’, a shimmering beacon of punk rock brilliance and the follow-up to their 2015 glorious debut album Copacetic.
Returning to our shores, having toured here with The Wonder Years, this will be Knuckle Puck’s first run of Australian headline shows and a chance for new and old fans to hear tracks from the looming Shapeshifter album, already pegged as Knuckle Puck’s most deliberate and honed effort to date, lyrically introspective and urgent – without losing an ounce of the sweat-soaked authenticity and passion that made Knuckle Puck the punk rock force it is today.
Joining Knuckle Puck on tour are UK’s ROAM. Already established at the head of the burgeoning new wave of pop-punk, ROAM returned this year with Great Heights And Nosedives, an album of wicked turns of pace and choruses that have a habit of becoming irreversibly stuck in one’s head for days on end. Already released singles ‘Playing Fiction’ and ‘Alive’ stand as a testament to both the band’s commitment to the friendly mosh, but the maturity of their song writing ability.
Quickly becoming synonymous with the next wave of pop punk, ROAM are fresh from touring alongside greats such as Sum 41, Simple Plan and Against The Current as well lighting festival stages from Download to Slam Dunk and the revered stages of Warped Tour.
Including all ages and 18+ shows, the Shapeshifter Tour kicks off in Melbourne and will travel through Adelaide, Sydney, Newcastle, finishing off in Brisbane as well as a slot at the already sold out Unify Gathering festival in Victoria. With Knuckle Puck and ROAM in tow, January is about to get a hard dose of punk rock goodness.
Tickets on sale from tickets.destroyalllines.com on Thursday 28th September at 9:00am AEST.
