Frontier Touring is thrilled to be bringing seminal songwriter Morrissey to Australia this October. His highly anticipated return will see Morrissey and his band visit Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Wollongong and Newcastle.
Morrissey’s place in musical history is a critical one, with many lauding him as one of the most influential and leading figures in indie music. An illustrious solo career with albums such as Viva Hate and Kill Uncle, his distinct vocals and saudade songwriting are as recognisable now as it was when he fronted The Smiths in the 1980’s.
Last in the country to perform critically acclaimed shows at Sydney’s 2015 VIVID Festival, this will be Morrissey’s first Australian headline tour since 2012. Playing his first ever shows in these cities, Morrissey plays Wollongong’s WIN Entertainment Centre, Canberra’s Royal Theatre and Newcastle’s Civic Theatre, alongside performances at Melbourne’s Festival Hall and Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre.
‘A living legend had just made a lot of people’s dreams come true, and the post show chatter was filled with amazing comments about history having been made. I’d say they’d certainly gotten what they wanted this time. And then some.’ – Beat
Seeing this luminary in action is an opportunity not to be missed – these shows promise to be incredible!
