After recently announcing their line up filled with top-tier Australian talent, Mountain Sounds Festival today adds award-winning Sydney duo Hermitude as their special guest to the bill. They join RÜFÜS, Dune Rats, DMA’s, Ngaiire, Skeggs, Bec Sandridge, and a host of other acts for the festivals fourth installment on 17-18 February 2017 held on the NSW Central Coast.
Also announced today, and new for 2017, is the Magic Mountain event which extends the festival into a two-day affair and will see Friday night play host to DJ sets from Torren Foot, Nicky Night Time, Motorik Vibe Council, Commandeur (DJ set), Barney Cools DJ’s, Bare Essentials DJ’s, Kinder DJ’s, Cabal DJ’s, Lunar DJ’s. Rounding out the fancy dress experience will be food trucks, a fully operating bar and more. Magic Mountain is free for campers with a small entry fee available to non-campers closer to the festival.
The camping side to the festival is a mainstay for those wishing to sleep under the stars in a picturesque setting. Bring your own tent for just $39, or upgrade and have Wow Tents set everything up for you, just turn up and settle in. With an air bed, a rug and atmospheric LED lighting provided, Wow Tents is an affordable glamping solution to those looking for a helping hand.
First release tickets are selling fast for a festival which has proved itself over the past three years, two of which were sold out. First class talent to have graced it’s stages over the years includes Violent Soho, Albert Hammond Jr. (The Strokes), Alison Wonderland, DZ Deathrays, SAFIA, Tkay Maidza, and Alpine.
Mountain Sounds is a proudly local, environmentally sustainable event, priding itself on providing a platform to support local artists, business and the wider community. Having grown up locally, event organisers are passionate about the local area and will be taking care to prevent negative environmental impact and reducing the carbon footprint.
