Sydney-based indie-rock revellers Lime Cordiale are excited to announce East Coast touring mini-festival The Squeeze – presented by Chugg Music, Select Music, Rare Finds, 3RRR, FBi, 4ZZZ and the band themselves.
Hosted by comedian Aaron Gocs, the inaugural event will be held in May over four days in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, led by headliners Lime Cordiale and Bootleg Rascal. Both acts will be joined by an impressive line-up of rising local artists including Approachable Members of Your Local Community in Melbourne on May 5 and 6, Rackett in Sydney on May 13 and WHARVES in Brisbane on May 27.
Oli and Louis Leimbach of Lime Cordiale describe the motivation behind The Squeeze: “We love discovering new music and that’s exactly what inspired The Squeeze! It’s something we’ve been working on for a while now. It’ll be an annual event showcasing our mates and some hidden gems too. Here’s an opportunity to see our larger selection of some incredible local talent all in one huge night, with a stacked line-up, Gocsy spinning a few yarns, DJ’s and a bit of weird shit as well.”
Lime Cordiale have toured the country multiple times, continually selling out headline shows and sharing stages along the way with Sticky Fingers, Ball Park Music, The Rubens and Primal Scream. Whether they’re playing at house parties or to festival audiences, the band always deliver an exciting and unpredictable set sending crowds into a frenzy, as they rush the stage and shower everyone in beer.
Since their inception in 2013, Bootleg Rascal have consistently released critically praised music and traversed the globe putting on stellar live performances. After wrapping up label touring festival Shake ‘n’ Bake alongside roster mates Boo Seeka, Gold Member and The Moving Stills, the band are currently working on their second full length album alongside long-time collaborator and producer, Ian Pritchett (Boo Seeka, Kim Churchill). A new cut from the record will be unveiled early-April.
