One of the biggest electronic bands of all time, Pendulum, will return to Australia and New Zealand for five huge arena headline shows this October!
Promising new music on the horizon and with three Platinum albums to their name so far including renowned 2005 debut Hold Your Colour and a UK #1 and #2 for 2010’s Immersion and 2008’s In Silico, the Perth-born drum and bass/rock band – comprised of Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillien, Peredur ap Gwynedd and KJ Sawka – are one of Australia’s most successful musical exports, having sold over a million albums in the UK alone. Last performing on AU/NZ shores in early 2021, today’s tour news comes in the wake of Pendulum’s current single, their first new material in over two years – ‘Halo’, out now and featuring Matt Tuck, lead singer of emo rockets Bullet For My Valentine.
As a live band Pendulum are an unstoppable, award-winning act, selling out global arena tours and playing to thousands across main stage festival performances from Glastonbury, Creamfields, Coachella, Rock Am Ring, Reading and Leeds, and a recent headline slot at Ultra Miami.
Fans should stay tuned for even more new music coming in 2023, the band readying more material for their return to the stage. Says frontman Rob Swire of first taste ‘Halo’, “When it comes to Pendulum, I’ve always tried to create music that sounds like the apocalypse and with ‘Halo’, we’ve gotten closer than ever before.”
In further news today, a week out from its release fans can pre-save (see here) a new offering: ‘Halo’ (Matt Tuck Rework) sees Bullet For My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck reworking the band’s latest single, adding and adjusting elements of the original, resulting in an altogether more aggressive take – stay tuned for the track’s release next Wednesday 9 August. The acclaimed singer joined the band on stage at their landmark Download Festival appearance earlier in June, with fans and critics alike agreeing on the band’s epic live return.
Joining Pendulum at all dates is fellow Perth-bred drum and bass legend ShockOne, aka Karl Thomas. After wrapping a nine-date European tour in March and five shows in the US in May, Thomas returns with latest track ‘Heart On Fire’, featuring Pauline Kerr. Ever since the release of The ShockOne EP way back in 2009, which featured the chart-topping ‘Polygon’, ShockOne has been one of the hottest names in Australia’s dance scene… and now he’ll join good pals Pendulum as they cross the nation this October.
Gearing up for a monumental return to AU/NZ this Spring, get set as Pendulum bring their stunning new live show down under at last. As one of the most influential dance acts of recent years, these shows are sure to be incredible. Secure your tickets ASAP to avoid disappointment!
