[News] PENDULUM CONFIRM FIRST AUSTRALIAN LIVE SHOWS IN EIGHT YEARS THIS WINTER

One of electronic music’s most important and pioneering acts Pendulum will be embarking on their first live Australian tour in eight years, touring this June and July in celebration of their highly-anticipated fourth studio album The Reworks (out 29 June through Earstorm via ADA/Warner Music).

Their no-holds-barred live show will debut at Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Tuesday 26 May, visiting Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth before concluding at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Tuesday 3 June.

Pendulum burst onto the international scene in 2005 with the release of debut album Hold Your Colour which went on to sell over 300,000 copies worldwide. That same year, the band’s remix of The Prodigy’s classic ‘Voodoo People’ hit the Top 20 UK singles chart and electronic dance fans soon came to define the group’s upfront mix of drum & bass and electro house as the ‘Pendulum sound’.

Continuing their run of success, follow-up album In Silico debuted at #2 on the UK Albums Chart and sold over 300,000 copies in the UK alone, before third studio album Immersion went straight in at #1 in the UK in 2010. Having played some of the world’s biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, Download Festival, T in The Park, V Festival, Bestival and Creamfields, Pendulum have become revered for their extraordinary live performances and defining genre-crossing sound.

Following a hiatus from live performances at the end of 2011, Pendulum closed Miami’s Ultra Music Festival in 2016 marking an epic return with their first show in five years. The band went on to perform a 14-date festival run across Europe and Asia, including headlining SW4, We Are Electric, Dreambeach, Weekend Festival, Helsinki and Zurich Open Air, as well as Ultra Japan, Korea and Singapore.

With their remix album The Reworks also due to drop June 29, Pendulum have well and truly returned to the dance world with a bang. As one of the most influential dance acts of recent years, these shows are sure to be incredible. Fans are urged to secure tickets now to avoid disappointment!
