From a childhood spread between Europe & Australia, Riley Pearce’s desire to explore and discover always seems to be reflected in his songwriting. Outside The Lines is the 23yr olds second EP release, inspired by a recent six month trip to Montana and a look at the world through those traveller’s eyes.
In true coming-of-age style, Outside The Lines sees Pearce transcend from his debut EP We Are Fools into a more mature and honest brand of songwriting. In this much-anticipated release, Pearce combines a delicate mix of percussive guitar, horns and smooth harmonies to achieve both a chilled and upbeat vibe in his songs.
Despite his youth, Riley Pearce’s captivating performances are starting to earn him some well-deserved attention. With a nomination for AU Review’s WA Best Male Vocals Award last year and support slots for the likes of Kim Churchill, Lifehouse & Josh Pyke there’s plenty of reasons to check out his music.
Late 2015 saw Pearce release the lead single ‘Brave’ from the forthcoming EP to an onslaught of praise, you can watch the clip for it here. Garnering features from key music blogs Indie Shuffle, Stereofox & Indie Current, the love flowed into triple j and community radio support with ears eagerly awaiting the EP’s release.
