English rock duo Royal Blood, Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher, are set to return to Australia and New Zealand in April and May. Armed with two face-melting records and a Brit Award nomination for Best British Group, the band will play their biggest run of headlines shows Down Under to date.
Frontier Touring is pleased to confirm special guests Polish Club will be joining the rockers at all Australian shows of the tour. Forming just three years ago, the pair – David Novak and John Henry-Pajak, have already been making waves with 2017’s debut record Alright Already, lauded by Rolling Stone Australia as “high-octane, sweaty rock & roll”. Fuelled by this energy, picking up an ARIA nomination for Best Rock Album along the way, the duo is also making their mark on live stages. Having supported the likes of Gang of Youths and The Preatures, they embarked on two critically lauded headline tours last year, with The Sydney Morning Herald raving that “their chemistry can’t be underestimated”.
Also joining the Australian run are progressive Perth rockers Psychedelic Porn Crumpets. They came together in 2014 and have been described by The Music as “resembling Jimi Hendrix fresh off the end of a light globe”. The quartet have spring-boarded off the back of 2016’s momentum, releasing debut effort High Visceral (Part 1) to critical acclaim. Having supported local mainstays such as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Canada’s Black Mountain, as well as touring nationally, the group are in no danger of slowing down.
With an increasingly sharp back catalogue and a blistering live presence to match, Royal Blood are showing on stages here and globally that less is more! You won’t want to miss out on this epic run. Tickets on sale now.
