these are not your dreams was released as a full length record in 2020, debuting at #25 on the ARIA Chart and #1 on the 100% Independent Chart.
Rather than following a conventional release pattern, new songs were released as a series of 3 Eps: No Safe Place, Out of Hours and Not an Exit.
During the pandemic, the band also released their acclaimed Live at the Metro performance, originally recorded for triple j’s Live at the Wireless at their epic hometown show during the 2015 ‘Great Northern’ tour which spanned 55 shows and 22 countries. The live album debuted at #1 on the 100% Independent Chart and was accompanied by a live highlights video clip (link below).
Building on those highlights this year, the band will perform at MONOLITH FESTIVAL in August & September alongside Karnivool, Plini & more, before their headline tour visits Newcastle, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne & Sydney, playing new material and rare older tracks – as well as some classic sleepmakeswaves bangers.
Joining as special guests will be Melbourne progressive rock legends CLOSURE IN MOSCOW on their first tour in 4 years, as well as Perth’s acclaimed experimental quartet TANGLED THOUGHTS OF LEAVING.
