A throwback to the music people used to make, ‘Modern Love (Live)’ was recorded live at Paddo RSL, Sydney, on Saturday the 29th of May 2021. The song first appeared on the creative chameleon’s 12” LP I Think I Know For Sure (2020), although this live recording marks the first part of a 5-track EP to be released later this year, which features Steve Balbi (Noiseworks, Electric Hippies, Mi-Sex) on vocals & rhythm guitar, Jak Housden (The Whitlams, Tim Minchin, The Badloves) on lead guitar, Dario Bortolin (Baby Animals, INXS) on bass, Pete Drummond (Dragon, Eirie) on drums, and Scott Aplin (Guy Sebastian) on keys.
Live music is a transcendental artform that has endured life in isolation for the past two years, so this new EP pays homage to another time, in genre and in space.
