The Subsonic crew has announced over 150+ new acts joining the already massive line-up for Subsonic Music Festival 2023, set to take place in NSW’s Barrington Tops region from December 8 -10 for three days of music, art, glamping, dancing and connection.
UK DJ and producer Alec Falconer, L.A. old-school house selector MEZ and underground French DJ sensation rRoxymore will be heading down under to play the returning festival, joining previously announced headliners Crooked Colours, BARKAA, Youngr, Haiku Hands and MTV award-winning New Zealand rapper JessB.
An absolutely mammoth selection of over 150+ local DJs will also join the fold, including scene icons Phil Smart and Simon Caldwell, plus a host of Australia’s finest in the form of Gabby, Rabbit Taxi, Tristan Case, Elijah Something, Elijah Something, Jake Hough, U-Khan and many, many more.
With Subsonic’s 2019 event tragically cancelled due to bushfires for the first time since its inception in 2009, festival organisers are thrilled to welcome their vibrant community of music lovers and talented artists back to the idyllic natural surrounds of Riverwood Downs – a lush eco-resort on the banks of the Karuah River.
The stunning venue will be transformed into a canvas of creativity, with captivating stage designs by Fulcrum Designs, Conspiracy, Soluna, and more. Murals will adorn the landscape, infusing every corner with vibrant and immersive artistry, while a special chill-out area, The Alchemist Lounge, will set the scene with of the best downtempo and ambient sounds around.
Beyond the music, Subsonic offers experiences such the market village – where explorers can discover handmade wares and delicious food – or participating in workshops at the Lifestyle Village, led by Mimi Elashiry, which will offer everything from dance sessions to breathwork and more.
And of course, it wouldn’t be Subsonic without taking part in the festival’s most treasure of pastimes – relaxing by the beautiful Karuah River. A range of accommodation options are available, including glamping, camping, and bunkhouse packages.
