The Temper Trap have announced details of their first Australian headline shows in over a year. The Melbourne-via-London indie four-piece will return home to headline this year’s Falls Festival and play two very special sideshows at Melbourne’s 170 Russell St. on Monday 5 January and Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Tuesday 6 January.
The past 12 months have proven incredibly productive for The Temper Trap, as work on their as yet untitled third album is well underway.
Remerging on the live scene in June this year, the band sold out three consecutive nights at London’s Oslo, performing album number three material for the first time and in the process showcasing an exciting new direction that remains true to their signature sound.
Expect The Temper Trap in fine form and festival ready after well received recent shows in North America including sold out dates in New York City, Los Angeles and Toronto as well as appearances at Lollapalooza, Osheaga and Squamish festivals where they played in front of tens of thousands.
Joining The Temper Trap at both shows will be Sydney trio, Mansionair and British singer-songwriter, Charlotte OC.
