On the reveal of their Unsolicited Advice 2022 Tour, The Buoys also share the news of their signing to booking agency Village Sounds (DMA’s, Courtney Barnett, Vance Joy) and sign for management with Arcadia Music Company, who are behind acts including MAY-A, CYRUS and ROYBOY.

On the signings, CEO of Arcadia Music Co, Christian Lo Russo says “I am so unbelievably psyched to welcome The Buoys to the Arcadia roster. The live show is incredible, pure energy and passion! I can’t wait to be part of the next chapter of their adventure and watch it all unfold from the front row“. Toni Ellis of Village Sounds furthers, saying “I have been a big fan of The Buoys for years, and am thrilled be a part of their fantastic team. I am so pleased to be welcoming them to the Village Sounds roster and look forward to a long and exciting career with them“.

It’s been a whirlwind year for The Buoys, having just released their highly anticipated EP Unsolicited Advice For Your DIY Disaster in October, which was a collection of personal experiences, self-discovery and the bittersweet nature of relationships.

Carving out a fresh space in alt-rock, The Buoys single, ‘Bad Habit’, was hailed as “the musical definition of a bullseye” by Richard Kingsmill, scoring a spot in triple j’s Most Played for weeks on end, as well as becoming cover girls for Spotify’s ‘Local Noise’ and ‘Rock Out’ playlists. The band swiftly followed this up with the release of cathartic banger ‘Lie To Me Again’, becoming the most playlisted Australian act across streaming platforms in release week, receiving a full rotation triple j add, cover placement on Spotify’s ‘Indie Arrivals’, as well as charting in Shazam’s Top 100, and Spotify AU Viral 50.

After truly settling into their sound and slaying regular touring, this March / April The Buoys will be taking their Unsolicited Advice tour to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Wollongong. You can expect fiery anthems and heart-jerking tunes alike, all wrapped up into one high energy set.
