Taking an enormous leap into the musical stratosphere with debut album, HEX.LOVER.KILLER in April and fresh off their recent and well-received support slot with Los Angeles’ sexpots, Deap Vally, Melbourne’s The Delta Riggs are proud to announce their latest single release ‘America’ and an east coast tour with Sydney psyche-rockers, The Walking Who.
The Delta Riggs have been enjoying a sharp upward spiral in perception, audience numbers and media coverage since the release of their album and ‘America’ follows closely in the footsteps of recent radio-hit and preceding single ‘Rah Rah Radio’. It’s much like a good pair of well-worn jeans for the rock quintet. Effortlessly comfortable in its execution and it sees the band at the top of their game, their most anthemic and having a hell of a lot of fun as only The Delta Riggs can.
Released simultaneously is the sinfully-sexy, Remix By Record Attempts (Michael Belsar from Hunting Grounds) that not only slows proceedings down to a Tame Impala-esque psychedelic groove, but also features a newly recorded saxophone solo by Sam Boon.
The ‘America’ Single Tour traverses the east coast in September/October and is the meeting of two blistering live bands that will undoubtedly become one of the most talked about emerging and electric pairings this year.
