THE GUMBALL line-up features Australian song-writing royalty.
The Gum Ball has released its third and final artist announcement for the April 2013 festival, featuring a special ANZAC day performance by John Schumann and Hugh McDonald of the legendary Australian political folk band Redgum. For festival director Matt Johnston, having key members of Redgum at The Gum Ball is a long-standing dream come true, and timely as this years’ festival runs over the ANZAC weekend.
“We grew up listening to Redgum on vinyl, and now to be able to invite John and Hugh to play in our front yard on ANZAC day is nothing short of an honour.”
The third line-up announcement has a distinctly Australian flavour, true to the festival’s brand of quality diverse music with everything from folk to dub and all in between, including the return of The Gum Ball’s resident supergroup, Dashville Progress Society.
‘Dashville’ the bushland venue located at Belford, Hunter Valley will open its gates to The Gum Ball at midday ANZAC Day Thursday 25th April, running through to Sunday morning 28th April 2013.
The Gum Ball features onsite camping, kids activities, food and market stalls, workshops, a BYO policy and a vibe similar to your mate’s back yard party.
