Last wowing Australian audiences in 2022, The Script took fans on a trip down memory lane with performances of essential tracks such as ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’, ‘For The First Time’, ‘Nothing’ and the emotionally charged ‘Breakeven’ reminding fans of the powerful songwriting that propelled The Script to become a household name.

The Script’s recently announced album, Satellites marks their seventh studio album and first since the passing of beloved bandmate and guitarist Mark Sheehan. Opening track ‘Both Ways’ sees the band dabble with an energetic new sound and funky upbeat rhythms. The band followed this release with single ‘At Your Feet’, a dynamic song that takes listeners on a journey across personal lyricism, soaring choruses and intimate emotions. Stream both tracks here.

The album cover is silhouettes of me, Glen and Ben Sargeant, our bassist, who’s been with us from the beginning. Then we have a hooded silhouette, because the air of Mark is still there”, says lead singer Danny O’Donoghue on the legacy of their adored bandmate. “He always will be, but it’s also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It’ll never be the same Script. We’re just trying to get on and do what it is that we all feel is the next right thing to do and that’s to keep making more great music.”

Since forming in 2001, The Script have cemented themselves as one of the most definitive pop groups of their era, achieving more than ten billion streams (a feat that has since earned them a BRITs Billion Award), twelve million album sales, six UK #1 albums and two Platinum-certified US singles. Five Top 10 ARIA album charts and seven Top 40 singles (including 5 x platinum for ‘Breakeven’ and 10 x platinum for ‘Hall of Fame [feat. will.i.am]’) have established the band’s status as one of Australia’s most loved acts. Tracks such as ‘Superheroes’ and ‘Rain’ have solidified the band’s legacy as chart-topping sensations and dazzling live performers.
