2015 was a massive year for Sydney based, Blue Mountains bred, romantic party thug TUKA, who released his Aria, SMAC and AMP nominated and critically acclaimed 3rd solo album Life Death Time Eternal (which debuted at #6 on the Aria charts), sold out his first ever solo Australian tour and made his first ever trip to the USA – playing capacity shows in both LA and NY (not to mention somehow also fitting in the giant 27 date “Elephant in the Room” Tour and an equally massive lap of Europe with his band Thundamentals).
Now TUKA has announced one final live lap of the country (before he heads back into the studio with Thundamentals) and the release of his ALIVE DEATH TIME ETERNAL EP – out March18th. The EP will feature five reworked tracks from his solo album Life Death Time Eternal and a special cover of Angus & Julia Stone’s ‘Big Jet Plane’ which TUKA recorded for Triple J’s Like A Version late last year.
To coincide with the release of the EP, TUKA will also be releasing each song online with a video of a live performance – leading today with ‘Don’t Wait Up’.
TUKA’s Life Death Time Eternal heralds the coming of age of a truly unique voice in Australian hip hop – a deeply personal and heavily themed record featuring ‘Nirvana’, ‘Tattoo’ and ‘My Star’ – bold, melodic and unafraid to colour outside of the lines.
