[News] VELVET TRIP ANNOUNCE LATEST TRACK ‘MOVING ON’ + EAST COAST SHOWS IN APRIL

Sydney psychedelic duo Velvet Trip have shared their latest release ‘Moving On’, capturing the euphoria of breaking through the other side of internal conflict. Described by lead singer Zeppelin Hamilton as his mantra for positivity and growth, “When you feel things become stagnant in your life and you are bound by old ideas, identities or relationships that no longer serve you… It’s okay to let go and move on.”

In support of their latest single the band will be hitting the road for a run of east coast shows this April, heading to Adelaide, Sydney, Wollongong and Byron Bay plus a set at this year’s Gumball Festival.

There was no sign of slowing down at the end of 2022, with the band exposing a new sonic territory with psych-rock single ‘Its Only Human’, which was swiftly added to numerous editorial playlists on Spotify and garnered support from triple j, Unearthed, NME AUS, Music Feeds, Milky, Life Without Andy & The Music. Velvet Trip also grabbed the attention of Daft Punk collaborators, Parcels and were offered a national support slot for their entire run of sold-out Australian shows at iconic venues such as The Enmore, The Forum and The Tivoli. They also notably performed at the Sydney Opera House alongside Wiradjuri poet Jazz Money and was featured on the ABC program ‘Going Country’ with Emily Wurramara.

Whilst playing multiple sold-out tours across Australia’s east coast, the band were also working on new material and exploring ways to push their sound beyond their blues origins. Written and produced within the confines of Hamilton’s laptop and performed live with interchanging members – Velvet Trip is an ever-evolving entity moving in unexpected directions.
