Today, Vera Blue releases her stellar new video for her current single ‘Temper’, directed by Sydney filmmaker Maddy King.
The leading indie pop artist performed ‘Temper’ on the Sydney Harbour at dawn for ABC’s The Sound, and now she returns to the sparkling city for a late-night video shoot for the official music clip.
For the ‘Temper’ clip Vera Blue was reunited with contemporary dancer, Rob McLean who appeared in the video clip for her hit song ‘Regular Touch’. Vera Blue says of the clip “My favourite scenes were dancing crazily in the back of a fast-moving convertible and the final dance scene. I remember how many times we had to drive up and down the street over the bridge, but every time it was as exhilarating as the last! Shot at nighttime the real beauty of the streetlights and the big round moon was unforgettable.”
Instantly added to triple j, ‘Temper’ is an anthem of defiance that translates the turbulence of new love into driving, ’80s-inspired pop. Written with songwriter friend Carla Wehbe and producer Robby De Sa (Gretta Ray, MAY-A), ‘Temper’ also features co-production by her longtime collaborators Andy and Thom Mak.
As the introduction to a new era of Vera Blue, ‘Temper’, is fast becoming a Vera Blue fan-favourite with over 1+ million streams globally since its release while taking the multi-platinum, ARIA nominated and APRA Award winner into an entirely new, and totally thrilling, realm.
It is going to be another busy summer for Vera Blue who will be kicking off the new year with performances at Grapevine Gathering Festival followed by blistering sets at By The Pier, BASSINTHEGRASS and Golden Shores Festivals.
